Privacy

Urbexium collects the account details you provide, such as email, username, and password hashes, plus the data needed to operate the platform. This can include submitted location details, moderation requests, chat messages, and AI scan results.

How we use data

• Authenticate accounts and keep sessions secure.
• Show map content, user submissions, and subscription features.
• Moderate submitted locations and review reported content.
• Run AI-assisted features such as satellite scanning and agent workflows.
• Protect the service with logging, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

Cookies and storage

Urbexium uses only the essential httpOnly access and refresh cookies needed to keep you signed in. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies in its own frontend. User profile data is stored in sessionStorage so the interface can stay in sync after login.

Third-party services

Some features send data to third-party services that are required to provide the feature, such as map tiles, geocoding, satellite imagery, AI providers, and backup storage. Only the data needed for that feature is sent.

Retention

We keep data for as long as it is needed to operate the platform, meet moderation needs, or satisfy legal and security requirements. Data tied to deleted accounts or removed content may still remain in backups for a limited time.

Your choices

You can manage browser cookies, delete your account, and request removal of user-generated content where appropriate. Some features may stop working if you remove the authentication cookies.

Terms of Service

Acceptance

By using Urbexium, you agree to follow these terms and any policies referenced by them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Responsible use

• Do not use the platform to plan trespassing, vandalism, harassment, or other illegal activity.
• Do not assume any listing, map marker, or image means a location is public, accessible, or legal to enter.
• Do not upload content that exposes private personal data or dangerous instructions.
• Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls.
• You are responsible for the content you submit and the account you use.

Liability and risk

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Urbexium and its operators provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not own, control, inspect, or authorize any location shown on the platform, and we do not guarantee that any location is legal, open, safe, or accessible. You are solely responsible for checking local laws, confirming ownership and permission, and deciding whether to visit any location. We are not liable for any injury, arrest, loss, damage, claim, or other consequence arising from your use of the service or from any action you take based on its content.

Content and moderation

Submitted locations, chat content, and supporting media can be reviewed, approved, edited, hidden, or removed by the platform. The service may also reclassify content based on moderation decisions and automated checks.

Subscriptions

Pro features are only available while the subscription is active. The platform may change feature availability, pricing, or limits over time.

Availability

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or that any location is safe, legal, or currently abandoned. You must treat all location information as unverified until you confirm it yourself.

Location Submission and User Content

What you may submit

Submit locations, context, and images only when you have the right to share them. Coordinates and names should be accurate and useful for verification.

What you may not submit

• Live private residences, personal addresses, or doxxing material.
• Instructions that help people trespass, vandalize, or break the law.
• Spam, duplicated entries, false coordinates, or misleading descriptions.
• Content that violates someone else's privacy, copyright, or safety.

Review process

Submitted locations can be marked pending, approved, rejected, hidden, or reactivated by moderators. Image files may be moved into review, abandoned, or not-abandoned folders during moderation.

Accuracy

We try to keep the map accurate, but every submission must be treated as unverified until reviewed. Always confirm the current situation before visiting any location.

Removal

We may remove or edit submissions that are unsafe, inaccurate, or inconsistent with this policy.
